Short-term effects of marijuana use include euphoria, distorted perceptions, memory impairment, and difficulty thinking and solving problems.
Statistics and Trends:
In 2009, 28.5 million Americans age 12 and older had abused marijuana at least once in the year prior to being surveyed. - Poor memory
- Increased blood pressure and heart rate
- Red eyes
